Well it's not like the great north woods or anything, but it's outside for us city dwellers! We took James to the park across the street to play in the fountain. Every single time we walk by it, James gets so excited and reaches for the water - even though it's probably more than 50 feet away from him - and claps his hands and motions to go over there. So we finally decided we'd let the little guy go exploring on Sunday. We took him over by the fountain and he just looked at us like, "Really?!" and then before we knew it he was pulling Dad right over by the water.

Over the last few days, James has been starting to take more and more steps by himself. We think he'll be walking sooner than later. We'll totally keep you updated!

James put his hands in the flowing water and it sprayed everywhere. And then he did it again. And again. And again.

He was having so much fun but was just getting soaked! And poor Dad was not staying too dry either.

It was only in the lower 70s that morning so we decided to change James' clothes and not let him air-dry. After the outfit change and towel dry, we walked down to the river and we let James loose. HE LOVED IT!

James was walking all the way down the river-walk holding on to the planters and the benches. I think he was just so excited to be free from the stroller for a while. James also loved looking and holding these new things called 'flowers' and 'leaves' - James just studied them and turned them over and over. Dad was taking some photos and then got up and said, whoa - I can't believe how far he went and fast he walked. James can really move.
