Cara comes to Chicago

Mom's cousin Cara came to visit this weekend! Cara arrived just after we finished our 12 month (almost 14 month) photos and just had just finished lunch. James LOVED seeing Cara and showed her all of his new skills - walking hands free (omg!) and all of his toys. Cara brought James a beautiful tapestry from her travels and we cannot wait to hang it in his room - it's awesome! James showed Cara his room and then he had to take a nap. We had deep dish pizza for lunch and relaxed and caught up while watching the Cubs ahem ... not do so well. After James woke up, Cara helped feed James his snack and we all went for a walk down by the river. Where .... we saw a rainbow! :o) After James went to sleep, we made a celebratory dinner for Cara's birthday! The food was delicious and the company was even better! Dessert was incredible and brought to us by the birthday girl herself – how thoughtful! So glad Cara could come to Chicago! We love you Cara!!!
