In the Yard

I know there are a lot of posts of us in the yard but this is where we were this summer. It was so great. I'm sure that next year we'll branch out and go to the beach and the pool and the playgrounds but this year we just really enjoyed the whole idea of a yard and being able to just sit in your own space and do things. James especially loved this freedom to "do" and to explore and to learn. He loved to just run and jump and spin around in circles or look at the different trees in our yard or look for bugs or dig holes. Cillian just loved to be outside and look at everything. I just loved being with them outside and not having a stroller and diaper bag and keys, phone, food, hand wipes, diapers, etc - everything was just steps inside. The change in all of us has been remarkable. Anyway, most times I have the camera with me. And tonight was no different. It was month end - Doug works late so I took the kids out in the backyard after dinner to play until he got home. Hence the messy faces and clothes :)
