Happy Birthday to Doug! We celebrated Doug's birthday in a pretty low key fashion - James planned the menu and we cooked him a special dinner and made him birthday cookies. I also had James decorate and dictate a card which I wrote out for him and then I wrote Doug a card pretending to be Cillian. It was pretty funny and cute. So, it's always a challenge to shop for Doug but this year I made him smile with my gift - it was from all of us and I think he really liked it. I went to Hobby Town and I bought him model rockets to make with the boys. He used to make model rockets with his Dad when he was younger and I thought that it would be a special gift to him and to them to have this to do together. James actually blurted out the gift to Doug before his birthday and the look on Doug's face was priceless. I knew I had done well :) I'm glad James said something because Doug was able to tell me specific things to pick up from the store. Here are some photos we took from the very special day!
