Stanley Cup

So you may have heard that the Blackhawks won the Stanley Cup – you may have heard that. FOR THE SECOND TIME IN FOUR YEARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOO HOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Doug has made me a hockey fan. Love it! So when the hawks made it into the playoffs (right around the move) and we finally made it into the house, we didn’t have a tv set up. No cable. So, we listened to the games on the ipad on wgn.com. It made me realize a few things. Local announcers are WAY better than national announcers. Way better. It’s fun to sit and just listen with Doug to games this way. You both just kind of stare off into the distance listening and then when stuff (good or bad) happens, your reactions are more fun because you have to play it out in your head – there’s no picture streaming live – so it was a whole new experience for me. Even when we did have the tv hooked up by the time they were in the final games, we still listened to the game on wgn.com on the ipad sitting together in the kitchen at the kitchen table. It was awesome and a really great way to start the creation of wonderful memories. Love you Dougie. Go Hakws!
