New Shoes

James needed new shoes again. I was helping him undo his laces and his shoes were molded to his feet and I could see the lines on his feet from his shoes. I said very quietly to him that he just has to tell me if his shoes are tight and we can get new ones. James then whispered to me, "Mom, they are tight."

So today after school we went to get shoes. As we were walking to the Vans store, we both noticed a huge Stormtrooper outside the store. James looked at me with a face only a five year old fan of Star Wars can have and said, "MOM LOOK! A STORMTROOPER! AT THE VANS STORE!!!"

I'll spare you the details. We came home with these.

In case you're wondering, yes that is Darth Vader. Yep. Darth Vader slip-on Vans.

I had to order his lace ups online because they were out of his size at the store. When I was ordering them, Doug was sitting with me and he saw a pair of shoes he liked and added them to the cart. Then when we were checking out, I noticed that both shoes were in size 11.5 - I said "Look! You and James are the same size! This will never happen again unless James is an 11.5 in sneaks when he's in mens!" They are both 11.5 - boys and mens. How cute is that? To me, it's super cute :) Preciousness in a house full of boys.
