MRI Update

We got great news. Doug and I are having a celebration weekend :) Photos to come later and missed posts will be updated as well but for now, here's the email I sent out to our family last night. Thank you to all of you also that I may not know personally but who read this blog and who prayed for our little guy. We are so very appreciative.

Cillian had his repeat MRI last Friday and we just heard from the doctor about an hour ago.

 

It's good news thank God.

He said that the surgery site from July has scarring but it looks just as it should and there is no regrowth of the cyst from that site. He also said that the 'spot' in question is still there - it's another cyst - however, it has not changed size or shape. It's in the exact same spot looking the exact same way. It is tiny - 2mm. It's the same type of cyst as the one from his nose - they are in most cases absolutely NOT cancerous. Just benign little things. We just don't want them to grow. Because the cyst is on the brain, this is no longer his area so we are to follow up with Dr. Alden the neurosurgeon to see what he wants to do - like, in how many months does he want C to get another MRI type thing.

So tonight, we are calling it a big win for Team Cillian.
