Furniture!

Our first floor has been empty since we moved in because all of our furniture from the condo went up to the third floor playroom where our tv is and all the kids toys exist in all their kid toy glory. The third floor is, in my humble opinion, the family favorite floor because it looks like our condo. We kept all the colors the same from the condo throughout the new house but the third floor looks just like the main room from our condo, the study and the guest room. But I digress.

So, the first floor is the kitchen, the dining room, the living room and the sunroom. The kitchen has our dining room table from the condo nestled in one corner and has the leaf removed so it sits four. The dining room has a fold out table that seats 6-8 from the home depot. We also have folding chairs to match. This table has been an absolute lifesaver and with a nice tablecloth on it, the table doesn't look too bad actually. We didn't want to rush into anything and buy something that we'd regret later. So we're taking our time trying to figure out what the room would fit best and what we need.

The living room is one big open space with a fireplace and wooden floors - we've been racing cars across it. It's been wonderful actually. The sunroom is great but is begging for a couch. So Doug and I realized we'd never be able to trek through furniture stores thoroughly enough to find a couch we could both agree on with the kids in tow so we took it online. Both of us like what we like and we have different tastes but with a crossover - it's just a matter of finding that piece where we both say - YES!  The pieces exist and we do find them, but like I said, it takes time.

So, we found couches from a store in Texas we liked. We took a huge risk on comfort and durability but did our research on the company, the fabricators and well, we're super please with what came and here are the pics of the new couches.

And because living in the South molded me some, I put James' crayons in mason jars.
And I love the way they look.
