Carving Pumpkins Part Deux

So remember how pumpkin carving got put on hold because of the air guy and dinner? Well, the next night (the 15th), I let James go out on the back stoop in his rain gear and draw out his face to carve out and then when Doug came home he helped him carve it out.

Over the next week and a half the weather was rough and rainy and we really just couldn't time it to finish the pumpkins - so literally at the last minute - 4 days before Halloween - we finished the pumpkins. I felt so badly for James because this year Doug bought HUGE pumpkins for us to carve. We have a backyard instead of a balcony so we really went for it. Oh well, I guess the important thing is that they did get carved and I think (not to toot our own horn) that they looked great and spooooooooooky.
