After Cillian's surgery, Cillian needed and still does need a lot of attention. We know this - believe me - we were painfully aware that James was not getting his usual amount of Mom and Dad time. While my Mom was here James got a lot of needed attention (Thank you Liddy!!!!) but needed some special Dad attention. So Doug took him on Sunday morning to the Hancock building and then for a walk along the lake front. The lake right now is icy and frozen and is honestly really beautiful. I'm not sure I would have said that 12 years ago but now, sure. Yeah, I'll admit it - it looks beautiful on some days. Really beautiful. Doug captured some really great shots.
They had so much fun and James was like a different child when he came home. He was so happy and refueled. It's amazing what some one on one time will do for a child. It was hard with Cillian at home scared and crying and the stitches were a lot for James to handle. And of course, he was battling two ear infections!
So, all in all, a well deserved, super fun time for a super special guy :)
Window washing :)
Enjoying a parfait with Dad - they were supposed to share this but Doug said he got 2 bites :)
Poor Daddy
Do you see what the thermometer says? 6 degrees. SIX!
I love that he loves heights - it's something I wish I wasn't afraid of but I am.
When I looked through these I believe I said, "YOU LET HIM WALK ON THE ICE?!?!?!"
James just enjoying the view :)
