Labor Day Weekend

Labor Day weekend was fabulous. Right now, I'm typing this wearing a sweatshirt, snuggled in on a cozy, chilly, rainy fall night. We were all talking this morning at breakfast about how glad we were that we were able to be outside and enjoy the beautiful weekend with our family and friends. It was great. On Saturday we spent the morning at the Farmer's Market and then walked around down town in the afternon. Sunday we went to the Shedd with Erica and Serge (E and S as James calls them) and then went to the beach and then we got a special visit from our friend Andrea! I don't have any photos but it was great to see her and she looks beautiful as always. Here are the photos from the Shedd.

And the beach :)

Then on Monday, we rode our bikes through the city again. It was so windy. At the end of the bike ride, we rode out, or I should say Doug and James rode out, to the end of our park - I couldn't - the wind was that strong. It was insane. We were like the only people in the park. But, it was fun riding with the wind at your back :) we just zoomed right on home.

During the week on our walks, James and I noticed a lot of leaves on the ground already. Fall comes so quickly. Hopefully we'll luck out and have a couple more days in the 70s and 80s. Fingers crossed - just one more beach day :) just one more beach day :)
