Yeyo-Boo

"No thanks, I'm cool." This is essentially what James said to us last week when we kept offering him his paci at naptime and bedtime. He'd just shake his head and say, "no" and "bleh."

HE QUIT HIS PACI ALL BY HIMSELF!!!!!

Do you know how cool this is??????
It's ah-mazing people. And yeah, I am bragging.
It's a pretty big deal.

On Saturday, we took him to Sweet Mandy B's to celebrate James being such a Big Boy!!! It's officially been one week without the paci and we are so proud of our little man!!

On Thursday and Friday we kept telling James we'd go and get cupcakes on Saturday and all day for those days, James would say, "Yeyo Boo?" (Yellow and Blue cupcakes) and we'd say, "On Saturday Buddy." On Saturday morning, we asked him, James do you know what today is? And he said, "YEYO BOO! YEYO BOO!!" We walked into the bakery and James plastered himself on the display case and pointed/tapped on the glass saying, "yeyo boo" over and over. Everyone in the store was laughing. And then, after nap, James got to enjoy a special yeyo boo cupcake that Dad made just for James.

Congratulations James!

  2. Oh wow, this really is amazing!! Go James! And how cute is it that he has his favorite color of cupcakes? I love it. I am very much afraid of what's going to go down in our house when the binky goes away...I don't think it will be voluntary but here's hoping!!
