Weekend Fun
This past weekend was busy and was fun. On Saturday, James' class had an end of the year get-together at a playground/park up in Evanston. It was awesome. The email got skimmed instead of read thoroughly so we arrived 30 minutes early. But, honestly, I'm glad we did because it was HOT already at 9am and we had the playground to play on all by ourselves. James even went down these huge slides and climbed all over the place. Mom and Dad had fun reliving the joys of the tire swing and also going down huge slides :) When James' classmates and families arrived, we had fun mingling and watching the kiddies play and talking about how much they've grown since the beginning of the year. James' class is great and it was so nice to be a part of such a great bunch of people. His last day of school is this Thursday.
On Sunday, we had Sarah come over and take photos to mark James at 2! It was so gorgeous out, that we took all of our photos in the park and on the beach. There was a milestone that occurred at the beach on Sunday. For anyone who knows me at all, this may shock you ... but, I went in Lake Michigan. Sunday marked the first time James and Mom got in Lake Michigan. Exciting stuff folks. We all got in for some shots - not deep at all, but we were all in there :) James did wonderfully and we are really looking forward to seeing the proofs! We are so excited to be able to spend time outside and enjoy the beautiful weather that finally decided to come to Chicago!
