"The world is mud-luscious and puddle wonderful"
e.e. cummings
The timing could not have been any better. On Thursday, Mom and James went to the most wonderful place on Earth.
Nordstrom's. Shoe. Department.
Ha! Just kidding ... but not really. I miss that place. It was good to be back.
So, up we went to the 4th floor for the kiddies dept and James got measured professionally - size 7! And came home with one pair of construction rain boots and the fireman rain boots will be arriving via UPS this week! Mom also bought herself a pair of rain boots because I will most likely be the most oft accomplice to the rain and post-rain adventures of James. We have gotten so much use out of them already. Every one is talking about their beautiful weather, beach trips and 80 degrees+ ... Um, this past week it was in the 40s, yesterday it made it up to the lower 60s and today it was thunderstorms ... just as it has been all week long.
However, when it rains and rains and rains, something wonderful is left behind. Something that Mom never realized was so wonderful before. Puddles. And jumping in them. Dad knew this already and was so excited to take James out into the park today. Mom had gone with James during the week and let James and Dad have this adventure all to themselves. After returning home, Dad has decided he is now in the market for some rain boots :) Here are some of the photos from their adventure.
OMG OMG OMG that is quite a milestone! Look at him having a ball exploring THROUGH the water! I love it. ...Nordstroms shoes department is SUCH a happy place. :) *swoon...
