We had the best time at the zoo today. We went with Auntie E! The whole car ride up to Lincoln Park, all I heard was this, "E." ... "Mom? E?" .... "E?"
We arrived at the zoo and saw the big cats, we saw zebras, and then, THEN it was finally 10am and the ape house opened. We saw such wonderful and huge apes and chimps and gorillas - Auntie E knew JoJo, the name of the big silver back. We even got to see the little baby monkey that was just recently born. He was trying to swing like his dad from the branches. It was adorable. Then we saw the seals and the penguins and we got to see wolves. We also found out that the wolves and James have something in common - they both love the sirens of firetrucks and ambulances. The wolves howl when they hear them and James makes his own siren noises :)
All afternoon, James howled like a wolf. He is the cutest wolf ever.
James was slightly excited to being hanging out with Auntie E today :) And who wouldn't be? I was so bummed I couldn't find the camera this morning but was grateful to have my cell phone with me to take this photo - it shows how beautiful today was.
