The Week in Review

So a lot has happened this week - the past two days for example have been a blur because unfortunately, the stomach virus hit James. I tried so hard to avoid that bug that was going around taking down children at his school. We washed hands, we did our best to keep fingers out of noses and mouths but alas, on Wednesday morning, the morning schedule got thrown for a loop when James got sick. So sad. My poor little guy was freaked out because for us, this was the first time in his whole entire life that James threw up. He had no idea what was happening. I had to call the doctor's office and ask what to do - I know what to do for me and for Doug, but I didn't know the protocol for a 3 year old. Turns out, it's mostly the same. The only bright point of yesterday for James was that he got to drink Gatorade. Orange Gatorade. He loved it. And he's drinking it again today. He is doing so much better today. Yesterday he just wanted me to hold him and snuggle him and lay next to him so he could burrow right next to me and sleep. Today, I asked him if he wanted a hug - he looked at me and while squirming away said, "no Mom I okay" and then ran down the hallway.

A part from the excitement of yesterday and the cleaning of everything today, Mother's Day did in fact occur earlier in the week :) Was going to post this on some of the other days of this week but I just didn't. So, here it is. I had a wonderful Mother's Day - just as I have each year. Doug and James made me lunch which consisted of eggs, bacon, breakfast sausage AND kielbasa sausage. And really delicious smoothies Doug made with papaya and mango and other delicious fruits. I also got a great card which I loved (James drew all over it) and a snow cone maker! Doug and I spotted it in the Sur la Table catalogue and I will tell you - it makes a delicious snow cone - it was a little chilly when we had them on Sunday - but I cannot wait when it's a million degrees outside and I feel like 100 months pregnant to eat one of these bad boys. Deeeeeeelicious.

Out of no where we had a warm up of 80 degrees on Tuesday - James and I went to the playground and had such a great time. We also stamped with a gift from E and S - James and I were covered in stamps but they're washable so I thought what the heck. Cover yourself my son!

And lastly, I picked up James at school on Monday and the class was outside on the playground. Everyone was playing except for these two - what a pair - the dreamer and the lover.

And lastly, here's a photo of James giving the baby a back scratch :)

OH and also - James has switched gender teams - he now thinks Baby Chips is a BOY! We'll see what happens. Ready for this? My due date is in 10 weeks and two days people. Nothing is finished yet. Nothing is ready. Here's to me and Doug mustering up the strength to work into the wee hours of the night and not get sucked into the Big Bang Theory on TBS :)
