Strollers are no longer en vogue around here. James will rock the stroller every now and again if I present a convincing case like, I need to carry groceries home or I've got to carry a huge something down the street, etc. But, if we're just going for a quick trip to the store or coffee or something else close by, we'll ask him, "James walking or stroller?" And most often, he marches in place and then smiles. James is really a good kid about it too, he'll hold our hands the whole way and back and then stick close by when we're inside. At one grocery store, he gets SO excited because the deli guys love him (who doesn't) and spoil him with "yeyo eese" (American Cheese). One of the deli guys, Cliff, is a Mets fan from New York and he loves to have customers from the Empire State!
James starts loudly proclaiming YEYO EESE! YEYO EESE! as soon as the deli comes into sight. When we arrived today, he did a little dance of excitement.
