Fine Dining

You know what that face is? It's a face of the cutest little guy around.

We had just finished dinner - yep, that's right - we all ate together. This of course occurred at 5:45pm (early bird special) but it was totally worth it. Dr. Hirsh had encouraged Mom to eat one meal with James each day and James and Mom usually eat breakfast together and have the occasional lunch date, but every once in a while, we like to try and have a family dinner. The last one of course was the oh so famous grilled cheese. Usually James eats around 5:30, then we play a little, then bath and then bedtime. Then, Mom and Dad eat. However, tonight we dined family style.

On tonight's menu: Burgers and a side of mac & cheese for Mom and Dad and James got to enjoy mac & cheese, bologna, and sweet potato sticks a la Mom. James was a little unsure of the sweet potatoes in their new style at first but then Mom and Dad used the sneak attack approach - we hover around the food like party snacks and eat them right in front of James. Usually one of us is holding James and eventually, a little hand intercepts the food on its way into our mouths and voila - James eats the new food and 9.5 times out of 10 LOVES it. Tonight was no different. James inhaled the sweet potato sticks and the rest of his meal - which was topped off quite nicely with cookies :o) Here's our little man enjoying his beverage of choice, 2% milk.

We of course ended the meal with bubbles.
You know, like everyone else does :o)

Is there anything cuter than this child? Nope.

  2. yes it is - it's the one you saw when you were here. doug's mom got it for us and it's great - it has a booster seat, it turns 360 degrees, can be adjusted height-wise and the seat can be adjusted so that the baby is completely reclined.
