One Small Step

This morning, just before 11am, James and I were playing in his room and I stood him up facing me. He was smiling and seemed pretty sturdy so I let go. James just stood there staring at me and then he picked up his little foot and walked. I screamed a little and he got startled and started to cry a little and then I was just overwhelmed and started tearing up. We called Dad at work to tell him the news and Dad is so proud of our little guy. Dad even said that he knew James was going to do this soon because James has just cruising all over the house holding on to things. I have no photo for this event, but here's little James clapping his hands last night. Seems to me that it's a perfect photo for this occasion! Way to go James!
