Saturday was a big day for James – he got to meet 3 of Dad’s fraternity brothers from SMU. Two of them – Wicker and Andrew – were in town for a wedding and “Uncle” Sloan came in from Nashville to see Phish with Dad. James loved hanging out with the guys and took to them immediately. Do we have a future Beta on our hands? Absolutely! :o) Mom loved seeing the guys react to James – they were really too cute! They were so careful with him and it was so cool to hear them all say – Whoa, he looks just like Doug! James had a lot fun with Andrew and Wicker before they had to go to get ready for the wedding. We even borrowed Andrew’s too cool aviators to let James wear so he could give the baby from “The Hangover” a run for his money! When Sloan arrived, he smiled so big when he met James! Sloan and Dad have been best friends for years, so it was really great to see Sloan finally meeting James. As soon as Sloan came in, he held James. James studied Sloan for a bit, but then was all smiles. Mom and James saw Sloan and Dad off as they left for Wisconsin to see Phish – Dad was so excited! Mom and James are enjoying their time together and are getting everything ready to celebrate Father’s Day with Dad after he gets back Sunday night. On Monday, we’re going to go to the Botanic Gardens and have a picnic where Mom and Dad got engaged. Update from the road: Dad just called during set break to tell us he misses us and loves us and that he’s having a great time and bought James his first tour onesie – too cute! Update #2: Dad called again so Mom could listen to Phish play our wedding song, Waste over the phone. Love you!
