A Fun Filled Wednesday

What a fun filled day! Today started off just like any other day - but then, James and Mommy got a visit from Auntie E! Mom and Erica got to hang out and chit chat while James slept. Right after we finished eating our delicious lunch, James woke up and got to eat his lunch. After James finished, he and Erica got to hang out and Erica enjoyed a snuggle from James - he just put his head right on her shoulder and was right at home - it was too cute for words! He's our little cuddle bug! I think you can tell by the picture that Erica enjoyed it too :o) We had so much fun with Auntie E and can't wait to see her again this Friday at her house for Serge's 30th!

When Dad got home this afternoon, we decided we would take a walk down to Michigan Avenue to get Serge a gift and then go to The Drake lobby for mini-burgers. Mom and Dad enjoyed going to The Drake lobby lots of times while Mom was pregnant to enjoy these burgers - they are quite delish. Taking James out to eat was a huge huge undertaking - we've not yet been out to eat with our little guy and we were a little nervous. As we had hoped, James did wonderfully. He slept the entire time we were eating dinner and then the whole walk home. We took pictures to commemorate the occasion. He's just too cute.

Also of interest, we decided to switch pediatricians. We're now with Dr. Daphne Hirsh and the doctor's office is 2 blocks from our home and is open 7 days a week. Mom and Dad feel great about the switch and so does James - at his first visit there, he smiled right at Dr. Hirsh. Dr. Hirsh is so gentle with James and the whole staff was so nice and kept remarking how alert James is and what a beautiful baby he is - he just eats it up and smiles :o) At the visit, James was 22.5 inches and 11 pounds - he's growing so fast! He's almost out of all of his newborn clothes - hello 0-3 months! James is making his cooing noises more and more and is starting to smile more frequently. And, we have to agree with people when they say, sometimes it looks like James is just going to start talking to you! Tummy time is starting to pay off as well - James can now hold his head up for a few seconds - it's adorable :o) We're enjoying every minute with him and we just love him so much!
