Today Cillian had another eye surgery. Not at all as intensive as the previous eye surgery where they lifted his lids. Today was to clear out his tear ducts. For some time now, there has been a lot of discharge from his eyes. It clears with antibiotic drops but then as soon as the drops stop, the discharge returns. The surgeon thought it would be best to go in there and just flush out his ducts. We also found out today that Cillian is getting some glasses. At his last doctor's appointment with Dr. Rahmani, Cillian refused to participate in his eye exam. Like, he turned his head away from the nurse and refused to look at her. So, when he was under, Dr. Rahmani refracted his eyes. He is -.5 in both eyes and he has an astigmatism in his right eye. Both my Dad and Brother have astigmatisms too. So now at least, Cillian and I will be the glasses in our family and James and Doug can be the no glasses. Truth be told, I'm a little nervous about how Cillian will handle wearing the glasses and also how the glasses and helmet are going to work together. We'll see I guess.
