This year, just like every other year, Doug had to work New Year's Eve. You know what though? Do you think he just came home after work and was all down about having to work all day until 5pm?
Let me tell you what he did and brag on my wonderful husband.
His taxi dropped him off at Walgreens where he picked us up some New Year's Eve hats and a sparkle necklace for James and a bottle (mini-bottle) of Champagne for us.
James was so so so excited.
I was so surprised and just so touched that Doug would do that.
After dinner, James and Cillian got their baths and Cillian was tucked it.
While I was brushing James' teeth, suddenly we heard BOOM BOOM BOOM!
Me: James! Do you know what that is? Hurry hurry hurry!!!!
Doug: (from the other room) JAMES! MEG! FIREWORKS! FIREWORKS!!!!!!!!!!!
We ran from James' room to the front entryway and put on hats, coats, gloves and shoes (except James who had socks on) and went out onto the balcony so see an early fireworks show!!!
This was James' first fireworks show ever.
HE LOVED IT!
