Today after school, after we ate lunch, I was on the couch feeding Cillian and James was playing roadwork with his three 'friends' - books on Jupiter, Saturn (Sat-a-rin) and Earth (Erf). He was talking to me saying, "Mom Jupiter is helping me with ..." and then I interrupted him and said "JAMES! What did you say? Did you say Jupiter?!?!?!" And he smiled and said, "Yeah Mom Jupiter!" I said, "You said J J J J J!"
Up until today, James has said "Games" for his name and gumping, guly, gulia child, etc. James could not pronounce the J sound and today he did!!!!
I stopped feeding Cillian, placed him down for a second and went over to hug James and tell him what a great job he did. All his hard work paid off! I hugged him really tightly and was expecting him to push me away but you know what? He didn't. He snuggled in and said "Mom I said J. I did it."
I am so glad I went over and hugged him. Cillian was no worse for the wear - he just chirpped happily to himself - happy as a clam. This was a huge accomplishment for James and I needed to make a post just about it!
WAY TO GO J J J J J JAMES!!!
