Saturday was actually James' birthday! It's so special to have your birthday party on your actual birthday :) The day started off exactly how the day James was born started off - cold and rainy. But by the end of the day, it was sunny.
We started off the day with breakfast and singing happy birthday to James. We had a few presents set aside for him to open as soon as breakfast was over and I am so happy we did this. It gave us some great family time to just celebrate James before the crowd came by later. James LOVED the train sets we got him.
They fit with his main Brio set we got him for Christmas and are great alone or as additions to the main tracks and trains. Doug and James had SO much fun playing with these all morning - while they set up and played, I ran to get James' cake. Just look at this masterpiece!

Just like at Christmas, present opening shuts down because of a gift - the recycling truck
Auntie E saves the day with a great idea - let's take the paper to the recycling center and get more by opening up more presents :)
