Happy 4th!

It's been a while since I've posted - sorry! My Mom and Dad were in town for the work week and now Doug's Mom and Dad are here for the summer! Visitors!!!! Blog posting got neglected - we've been having too much fun :) I'll do a separate post for Liddy and Grandpa Mike - it'll be out of order though. Oops.

This weekend was a busy one! Grandma and Grandpa came over to see James on Saturday morning right after breakfast and then left after lunch when they saw how busy the city was getting for the fireworks show - gates were being set up on sidewalks, streets closing, etc. Yesterday we drove up to their neck of the woods and James got to run around their yard and play in an octopus fountain/yard sprinkler and loved it. Today, we spent the 4th as a family and enjoyed the city. This morning we walked in the city before it got crowded and then in the afternoon, the lake front. Right now, I'm watching the cars lined up on the highway waiting to get to Navy Pier and watching all the tourists and locals flock to the pier and the lake front to get a prime fireworks viewing location. The city is so full of energy right now!

Aaaaaaaaand that was Monday around 7pm. Now it's Wednesday. Our computer kept freezing on me and well, I couldn't post about the 4th. The silver lining is that I was able to take some shots of the fireworks!

A little late, but better late than never.
