Three weeks ago in music class, James made a big impact on his teacher, Dave or "D" as James calls him. Dave sings this song, "When _____ get up in the morning ..." and the blank is for the animals and then the kids all sing the sound of the animals - so cows & moos, cats & meows, etc. So in class, Dave asked the kiddies for an animal and then out of the blue, James starts howling.
Dave looks at me and kind of laughs and asks what animal James is saying and I tell him it's a wolf - we were just at the zoo with Auntie E and firetrucks drove past, the wolves howled, James howled - you get the picture. So Dave's face lit up and it began - "When wolves get up in the morning, they always say good day: "hoooooooooooooooooooooooowl!" and the whole room just filled with the tiniest little toddler voices howling. It was adorable.
Now, every week in class, Dave looks over at James and asks, "Ready James?"
When wolves get up in the morning ...
