I just remembered why I write the entries. I asked Doug what this post should be called and he said, "Uh, I don't know, the blog?"
And ... here we are. Month 23 of our little man's life. Still laughing and taking each day by day. I looked at the calendar today and said, hmmm the 28th. And then thought, oh my gosh, we have a month until James will be this many:
If it's possible, he continues to get cuter each day. And smarter. And funnier. And more loving. As of late, he's been giving hugs and kisses to friends at music class and Montessori. At music class it's a little girl named Tallulah who looks like a mini Snow White. At Montessori, it's his teacher Mary.
James and I look out the window to try and find Dad's taxi or as James says, "tax-he" when it's time for Doug to come home. Then we see Doug get out at the corner and then we walk to the door, listen for the elevator and then the cutest thing happens. James screams "Daddy, Daddy, Daddy" and RUNS down the hall with his arms open racing towards Doug. I'm not sure what's cuter - the look on Doug's face or James' excitement. I think it's a tie.
I can't believe James will be two in a month. My little baby James.
Look at this guy - we still can't believe how lucky we are to have him as ours. Doug asked me tonight if all parents think their children are the best. I said that I hoped so and he said, "But still, James is really awesome." Yep, he's the best.
HOW is it possible that he is (basically) already 2?! Goodness...I guess we will be there before we know it...CRAZY! He's such a love muffin pumpkin, love him! xoxo
ReplyDeleteWow. Pretty soon I'll have to refer to him as the coolest kid I know...but right now (and probably forever in my mind) I'll always see him as precious baby James. My heart hurts a little when I try to come to terms with this sweet, caring, funny little guy growing up...but I'm comforted knowing that he's growing into a sweet, caring, funny kid. I love him!
