Today we had James' 18 month appointment. Dr. King walked right in and said, "Hey buddy, you're getting quite a tummy on you - you look like me." It was hiliarous. James did a great job - didn't even cry when he got his shots. No kidding. James is 27 pounds even and is 32 inches! Holy moly. We knew he was stretching out but 32 inches????? That's huge!
I asked Dr. King when we would be able to tell if James was left handed or not because he's been dominate with the left hand and the left leg for a while now. Actually, since he was born, Mom has thought he'd be a lefty. Anyway, Dr. King gave James his pen, James took it with the left hand and started drawing on the tissue paper he was sitting on covering the exam table. Dr. King said, "I would say about now, you could say lefty."
He then told this to James, "Now, your Mom is going to tie your right hand behind your back so your left gets really strong. Left handed pitchers stay a lot longer in the majors and are better than righties and The Cubbies need you." I love our doctor's office and I love Chicago.
Yeah! Lefty!!!! Excellent James! I am accepting this fact easier than the fact that he's 18 mos now - um, when did that happen!?! Love my lefty James! :)
