Mid-Month Update

Well, this is not going to be what most of you are expecting or what I was hoping to write. Our computer died. I am updating the blog from the business center in our condo building. And if you're wondering, having a computer die while finalizing chapters for your dissertation and preparing to defend your dissertation is as frustrating and challenging as it sounds.

But, I'll do some quick updates for you anyway. First, it makes me so sad that we won't have any pictures for this post. But, today was picture day at school. I know. James was dressed to the nines as they say. James got his own photo and there was a class photo. All the parents were in the class photo because as the photographer said, it would be like herding cats if we weren't. I cannot wait for them to come back. I sneezed in one of the group shots - the Mom next to me laughed and told me, "You know that that photo will be the one they pick right?" Yes, of course it will be :)

James has some new words - hello, but says "heyo" and it's so cute. James also can say little. He is very into pegs right now - any toy that involves taking something out and putting it back in is his favorite thing. Also, James has been drinking out of glasses and out of his cereal bowl. The kiddies drink out of glasses at Montessori for snack and what was once a shaky endeavor has now turned into an everyday thing. Today, we brought home artwork from school too. Very exciting. Also very exciting to James is a friend at school - Elliott - who is this adorable little girl who wears her hair in pigtails. Tiny little pigtails. She reminds me of the little girl from How the Grinch Stole Christmas. James waved hello to her today and said hi.

Since I'm sitting in a very public area, it's hard to concentrate and write this. I feel so awful about this post. Hopefully our computer will be fixed before James turns 18 months. If not, I have a feeling that this shared building computer is going to have some family photos on it :)
