Sushi

We went to a new restaurant! It's a sushi place two blocks from us that we've walked passed the 9 years we've lived here and last night we went in! We scoped out the place a few nights ago after we popped into the grocery store that's also in that building. We just wanted to see how "James friendly" this establishment would be - some sushi places are so not child friendly and this one was very friendly. So friendly that the hostess reached right over Doug to help me take James' coat off and then pinched his cheek while telling us how adorable he was and how big he was. It was hysterical. Every time we go get sushi, I always kind of hope that the place will be like the one in The Simpsons where there's private little rooms, a master chef, and a karaoke lounge.

Bistro Pacific is not that place but a great place to dine nonetheless. The family Sennott will definitely be revisiting for more sushi :o) This was also James' first time in a high chair!

At first it was like putting a cat into a bath - his legs were straight as a board and he was NOT having it. So, I sat him on my lap until the hostess finally left - she was all over James - and James warmed up to the locale. Then, he had a ball. There was paper on the table and hello! this child was all over it - banging, ripping - just loving the paper.

And, there was a fish tank - a huge fish tank with beautiful and very brightly colored fish swimming around. Then halfway through dinner, James just faced me and put his arms out - I tried giving him a hug, toys, crisps, but the arms were still extended and his eyes were fixed on mine. So, into my lap. Doug finished his sushi and then took James so I could finish. Overall, great first high chair experience, great sushi and great night with the boys!
