James has such a personality already! He's our little ham for the camera. He's so cuddly and kissable and his laugh is adorable. It's so contagious! What's even more funny is that after something makes James laugh, it doesn't work the next time. Mommy and Daddy have swallowed their pride and we work for those laughs! It's totally worth it :o)
Anyway, time for the stats updates. James is now 25 inches long (50th percentile), weighs 16lbs 12oz (90th percentile) and his head circumference is 43.7cm (90th percentile). Dr. Hirsh said that she could hear James cooing from down the hall and was impressed with his little (not so little) voice. Dr. Hirsh said that James is exactly where he needs to be developmentally and physically. When Dr. Hirsh asked Mom about James' eating and sleeping habits, Dr. Hirsh said that James was a rock star! Yea James! The entire time Dr. Hirsh was talking to Mommy, James was smiling and flirting with Dr. Hirsh. Mommy kept looking at James because Dr. Hirsh kept looking at him. On his face the whole time - huge smile. How could you not love James? Ready for some really exciting news? Dr. Hirsh told us to start James on rice cereal. I know. It gets better. We don't put the rice cereal in his bottle. He eats it ... with a spoon! I am waiting to do this until Sunday when Doug can videotape it and we can take LOTS of photos. I have a feeling that it will be a very momentous (and very messy) occasion! Then, in two weeks, vegetables! Organic Mommy is ready to come out and cook for her little one! Bring on the Farmer's Market! Any suggestions with which vegetable to start will be greatly appreciated! I am so excited to use the Beaba Babycook that Mommom got me for Christmas and that Grandma and Daddy were also going to buy for me! Good thing they talked - otherwise, Mom would have had three!

Here are our favorite photos from the last month!

Sucking on his thumb - Look at those baby blues and eyelashes too!

Hooray for organic baby food from the farmer's market, and rice cereal, of course. I can't wait to see all of your fantastic baby food pureed creations. I'm sure that Martha and Giada will be proud! ;)
ReplyDeleteJames is such a little pumpkin, and you all are just the cutest little family. I love it!
