Grandma and Grandpa Sennott Visit Chicago

We were so excited to have Grandma and Grandpa Sennott in to visit us for two weeks! This was the first time that they met James and everyone was so very excited. When they came to visit, the nearly burst through our front door with excitement and anticipation! We had so many nice visits with them over the two weeks. James got to see Daddy's old house and even take a nap in Daddy's buggy from when he was a baby. We shared many dinners together and Grandma and Grandpa got to see James play on his play mat, in his bouncer and sit in his 'dinner chair'. James got to meet his Uncle Chris and Aunt Gerilyn too. Grandma and Grandpa also got to enjoy one of our favorite places to eat - Volare! YUM!!! We didn't get to eat there but we'll take take-out any day! One day at their house, they even got to hear James belly laugh! It was so great!

On the Friday before they left to go back to Florida, Grandma and Grandpa even came down town to babysit for James on Mom and Dad's wedding anniversary. James cried very very hard when we were leaving and we were almost not going to go out to dinner. But then we came up with a plan - if he's still crying after 30 minutes, call us and we'll come home. Dad and Mom got to Frontera Grill and never received a phone call so we decided everything was fine and stayed to eat. Dad ordered his favorite steak and Mom enjoyed short ribs that Chef Baylass cooked on Top Chef Masters! We were so thankful we were able to celebrate our anniversary with a nice dinner. We came back home exactly 2 hours after we had left and found Baby James cuddled in on Grandma. The day before they left, Grandma and Grandpa Sennott spent the whole day with us for the Air and Water Show. After we ate dinner, James was smiling non-stop and was just hamming it up! It was so much fun! We had such a nice time with Grandma and Grandpa and can't wait to see them again soon!
