Another First

We got to experience another first this past Wednesday with our little guy ... his first fever :o(

Mom and James were running errands and it was really hot outside and when we came home, Mom undressed James to cool him off. After we read "Go Dog Go" he was still hot but sleepy so he went down for his nap. He didn't really sleep too well and when he woke up he was still warm. When Dad came home we decided to take his temperature. He had a temperature of 100 degrees! He also had a little cough too! Mom called the doctor's office immediately and spoke to the doctor on call (it was after hours) and followed his instructions to give James some infant Tylenol every 4 hours. In the morning our little man's temperature returned to normal! Mom checked it for the next day and a half to just make sure though.

In other news, James has been doing wonderfully at tummy time and has been playing a lot on his ocean wonders mat. It's so cute - he swings his arms and kicks his little legs so furiously - we just laugh and ask him where he's running to! James is making all sorts of noises and they are just too cute. He also loves being read to because he gets to snuggle in on Mom and Dad and look at all the interesting pictures. James also loves being held so he's facing out now - his eyes just try to capture everything that surrounds him. Our first big trip is less than 2 weeks away! We're off to New York for James' godmother's wedding. Mom and Dad are a little nervous about flying with James but we're staying optimistic and hoping for the best! James will be meeting his Great Grandparents and the Reilly family on Friday at Breezy Point and then the Hayes family at Devon and Rob's wedding on Long Island. When we get back home, we're looking forward to spending a lot of time with Grandma and Grandpa Sennott. So much fun ahead - we can't wait!!
