It is so hard to wrap my mind around the fact that we have a three week old! At some times it seems like yesterday that we brought him home from the hospital and other times it seems like James has always been with us. I can’t believe he’s going to be a month old next week. It’s crazy! We’ve been having so much fun with our little guy and we’ve rediscovered the miracle of swaddling – having the blanket cuddling James helps him sleep a little bit longer which enabled us to actually have a 30 minute nap and dinner tonight! It works so well that Doug and I have both caught each other checking in on him to make sure he’s ok :o) Right now he’s been sleeping for a record 2.5 hours!!
In other news … Mommom Liz is finally arriving in to Chicago tomorrow!!!! We are so excited for her arrival and cannot wait for her to meet her first grandchild :o) When I was feeding James today, I was telling him that my Mom is coming to visit us and was suddenly found myself all choked up. I know it sounds ‘sappy’ as Doug would say, but it was just really something special – I can’t wait to experience it!! I’m sure there will be lots and lots of happy tears, and hugs and kisses for everyone! See you tomorrow Mommom!
