Waiting

I called on Wednesday - the Wednesday they told me we'd hear by and I left a message just asking if we could please have an update - we were just nervous. The doctor called me back and said, "I'm sorry for taking so long. There is a spot on the MRI and we don't know for certain what it is, so I've been discussing it with the neurosurgeon team. The good news is that the drain ends at the nasal bone and doesn't go into the brain." I said, "What? What is on the brain?"

Basically this is the situation - over the next few days, Dr.R was going to ask the head neurologist at Lurie to meet with him to discuss what was on the MRI. It could be an artifact - just of the film and it turns out to be nothing. Or it could be something. He told me we'd hear back from him by Friday - Monday at the lastest. He also told me we'd need to schedule surgery to fix the draining on the nose.

After speaking with him, I called and scheduled surgery for Thursday July 10.
