This blog entry is just written by me tonight because I've got to brag about my boys. It was a great birthday today! The day started off with me making coffee for me and Doug before he left for work and then the boys said, "Mom, come here quick." I thought there was something wrong and I come in to find James sitting on Doug's lap holding a card that said, "Mom". I about cried. Then I read it and did tear up. James picked out a SuperMom card for me. I am one very, very lucky lady.James and I had a great day together and around quittin' time, James and I hung around the elevators for Dad to come home. We all walked down to the apt together and then we bundled James up and got ready to head to the Drake for an early dinner of miniburgers. It was 20 degrees, windy and snowing. Perfect weather for an outing, right? :o) We got to the Drake and all of the waiters that knew us were working so that was so much fun for them to see James and for us to see them too! We scored a spot right next to the women's lounge just in case of an emergency diaper change or a meltdown and we found a seating area that had a couch as a part of it. We sat on the couch - Doug and me on either side and James right in the middle. It was hilarious. I wish someone could have taken our photo - but Doug and I took some of each other.

James did great and was so well behaved. He got very relaxed as dinner went on and even lounged right on the couch and took his socks off. This happened right in time for the waiter to walk by and he just laughed and then James roared at him and the waiter roared back. We were all laughing so hard. James is such a character.

Towards the end of dinner, James needed a diaper change and I went to the lounge to take care of it and when we came back, Dad had ordered a birthday cake, blueberry pie and mango-raspberry sorbet! How awesome is that? I don't think I need to describe how delicious everything was. A cute sidenote, James grabbed the sorbet and immediately let go of it because it was so cold, but he did leave behind the cutest little set of finger prints we have ever seen!

I had a terrific birthday and was completely spoiled by my boys. Thank you so much Doug and James! I love you both. Thanks to all of you too who called, texted and emailed - it was great to talk to you, I miss you and love you all!
