Crisps

Hello there! We have been having a ball with the Gerber Puffs! James is doing wonderfully with his little hands and loves the puffs or crisps as we call them. We have enjoyed the peach flavor and strawberry apple so far. And yes, I said we. Doug and I find them to be pretty darn tasty as well. James doesn't have the whole pinch and into the mouth down all the way yet; I'd say we're about 85% there though. His ability to learn this new skill has been really impressive. We still have some pretty hilarious tries where the crisp gets stuck to the inside of his hand or on his face somewhere. He then looks so puzzled - Where in the world has my crisp gone? Here are a few shots we managed to get!

James is also holding onto the spoon, after we put it into the food. He's really trying to feed himself and be a part of the action. Sometimes he pauses the spoon's motion into his mouth to investigate the food on the spoon with his little fingers. When you eat today, think about how much we take putting the food into our mouths for granted. Can you beleive all the steps and coordination it takes? It's crazy! Happy Eating!
