Merry Christmas!

We hope you all had a great Christmas with your family! We had a great Christmas and enjoyed our time with Uncle Michael who came all the way from Los Angeles to spend Christmas with us! When Mike arrived, the weather in Chicago was slightly different than in LA ... We had icicles on our balcony! It was fah-reezing.

James remembered Uncle Michael right away and loved being held by him and playing with him! Uncle Michael loves his Godson so much and it was so awesome to watch them hang out together!!! James woke Michael up each morning in his own special way. One morning it was a little hand on his face and then a pull of the hair and the next day it was another hand on the face but this time followed by spitting. Ah there's nothing quite like James in the morning :o) Uncle Michael just smiled and was a great sport. I was very impressed with my younger brother :o)

We decided to eat Christmas dinner on Christmas Eve because only Mike could be with us this year. However, it was James' first Christmas and was a very happy time. Aunt Coleen bought James special Christmas pjs and we took some photos on Christmas Eve. Here are some of our favorite shots.

It took us 1.5 hours to open the gifts for James. James loved the toys from everyone and had so much fun opening the presents and playing with the bows!

Santa was very good to us all and Santa even shocked Dad - we got a Wii and a Wii fit! Santa knew what an awesome Dad Doug is and just felt the need to really show him how much he's appreciated and how much we love him. :o)

The day Mike had to leave it started snowing and did not stop until the next day! Luckily Mike was only delayed and didn't have to deal with a canceled flight. But, we would have LOVED to have him stay longer :o) Anyway, before he left, we all got bundled up to hangout in the snow for a bit.

We had a wonderful Christmas and hope that you all enjoyed time with your families and were able to experience the joy that accompanies this season!
