Home Sick

What you are looking at is the common cold virus. I'm not sure if this is the virus that our little soldier is battling as we speak but he is fighting a virus. This morning, James was not acting himself and I just had a gut feeling something was up. I checked his temperature after he ate and sure enough he had a fever - 101.5. Then we walked right over to walk-in hours at the doctor's office (so glad this is our practice!) and his fever went up to 102! I gave him infants' Motrin at the office and we're to continue to do so as long as his fever remains. If the fever spikes, we are to do Tylenol and Motrin in intervals. The nurse said he probably caught the virus on the plane or during walk-in hours on Sunday when we came for his ears. It could have been either place - people in front of us and in back of us on the plane were sick and the walk-in time on Sunday was packed with very very sick children. In any case, our plans for today include cuddling, reading, napping, temperature checking and hopefully, feeling better.
