School photos came back (finally!!!) and James' turned out really cute :) The class picture is kind of funny - it was like, as the saying goes, herding cats. They're toddlers - it's ok :) Without further ado, here's our handsome little man!
James also got a haircut last week - we drove up to see Bob and had a lot of fun. James did great again and Bob even let James help him turn on the clippers. James talked about that for the rest of the day. He was very proud of himself.
Over the weekend, James wanted to dress just like Daddy - so they did. James loved when I would say, "James and Daddy both have on tan pants. James and Daddy both have on a blue long sleeve t-shirt. Etc." I'd go all the way through and end with both of them having blue eyes and very long eyelashes :)
We even managed to decorate the tree! James did his decorating a few days before we finished the tree. We wanted to give him his own time to hang his ornaments and also to see where we needed to make our 'breakable' line on the tree - Giving it a few days was so helpful because Doug and I could find out where the lowest point on the tree we could hang things so James wouldn't brush up against them or bump into the tree or just take them off. Also - we scored great ornaments from the Land of Nod (I know again, but it's a fantastic store) and these ornaments bounced, fell, were dropped, and rolled over the floor and are no worse for the wear. Wonderful and worth every penny. James had so much fun decorating and I think he really enjoyed getting to pick where his ornaments went and to do it all by himself. He's such a great little guy.
We are getting so excited for Christmas!
I'm so sad I missed you all! What I really need to do is bring my mini up there to visit with you all! :) You all look great and the tree shimmers as it should! xoxo
ReplyDeleteLove the pictures and the tree! You should see our tree - there are no ornaments around the bottom - they have all been pulled off and are scattered all around the house - Sally's way of decorating! Tell James to be on the look out for something in the mail!
ReplyDeleteJames sure can take a school photo! Handsome boy! I am all over The Land of Nod catalog and cannot believe I haven't seen those ornaments - love them and love your tree!
ReplyDeleteHoly Comments Batman!
ReplyDelete@Ceci - yes - we were sad it didn't work out too! But a trip with Little Ceci would be lots of fun.
@Polly - LOVE IT! And please tell Sally, that she should be on the lookout as well!!!
@Trish - thanks so much and I'm so glad you like Land of Nod too - they have a store here which we are in all the time. James loves to look at the Big Boy Space Bed :)
Merry Christmas!!!
