Things only got more exciting when we went downstairs to get the mail and James had Valentines in the mail!!!!!! From his Georgia Peaches :) Mom was so excited and Dad proclaimed James a stud when he saw the cards, and the stickers and beautiful crayon drawings that accompanied the card from Miss Fannie Bradley :) WE LOVE THEM! James held on to the card from FB and the photo of Miss Sally Fowler the entire afternoon and evening.

Mr. Big Stuff
Today we had so many wonderful things happen! This morning at school, James walked right into the classroom and after I got settled, Angela (one of his teachers) said to me, "You know, you might want to try and leave today - I think he's very engaged with Mary (James' other teacher)." So ... I got up, walked over to James, told him that I was going to step outside the class and that I'd be back later and that I loved him. He looked at me as if to say, "Uh, Mom, I'm working over here with Mary." So, I walked out and sat outside the classroom with the other parents who had separated like oh three months ago. I was so nervous. Like, so so so embarrassingly nervous. But, James did wonderfully. One of the other Moms peaked into the classroom for me and gave me updates. I was so proud of James. We called Doug when we got in the car while it was warming up before we left for downtown after class. You could hear the pride in his voice :) I think James realized that he did something pretty independent today - he was like a little peacock the rest of the day.
