This weekend, Doug went down to see his Dad and Mom. And because my two boys are wonderful and I am super special too, my Mom came into town to be with us. Luck of the Liddy. The day Liddy arrived, Cillian took off his helmet FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Woo-hoo!!!!
While Liddy was here, we had so much fun and went on lots of adventures. Liddy got to see the water pump in action, we went down to the parade in 30 degree weather and we made our own Shamrocks, Mom went to talk to James' school for St. Patrick's Day and we made corned beef. It was amazing. I'll let the photos talk for me but James was so excited that I could come in to talk to his class. I read a book about St. Patrick and it was great to see the kids so excited. James helped me at the part when the book talks about how St. Patrick used the Shamrock to teach the people of Ireland about the Holy Trinity - three beings in one - James blessed himself and very loudly said, "In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit." I was so very proud of James - he did such a great job. Then I had little Irish flags for everyone in his class put in baggies with shamrocks and everyone got a scratch off shamrock so they could write their names or make a design. It was super fun. I hope I can go and do this again next year. It just happened to work out that Liddy could stay with Cillian.
Anyway, here are some of the photos from the weekend.
And as luck would have it, Liddy babysat and Doug and I went out on a date. To a 3D movie.
We had way too much fun :)
